New Universal Faceplate CommScope announces a new APAC British style universal opening faceplate as well as universal opening surface mount boxes. The universal opening design allows CommScope M series, SL series and KJ series (with adapter) jacks to be installed in the same port. Fewer material IDs means easier management of stock and lead times.
Design features include: • Material is UL 94 V-0 compliant • ECO packaging – reduced plastics in packaging • White and black color option • 1, 2 and 4 port options
New CommScope EVO-6A connector The CommScope EVO-6A connector (760253419) is a new, shielded Category 6A Keystone Jack being launched. The EVO 6A Connector is better suited for two connector PL standards compliant installations that require 4PPoE compliance in accordance with IEEE 802.bt Type 4 support, and is ISO/TIA Component compliance up to 500MHz. FiberGuide® 4x12 inch black straight sections in 12-foot lengths CommScope now offers FiberGuide standard and divided straight sections in 12-foot lengths complementing the existing 6-foot offering. These extended lengths give our customers more customizable options and reduces the number of junctions needed to install a layout allowing for longer pieces to run together in a single span when connecting multiple straight sections. CommScope offers the free FiberGuide Design Pro tool that will aid in a FiberGuide design. Check it out!
During the last week in February work was done on the ISO/IEC 11801 cabling standards series. Single Pair Cabling specifications continues to progress. Fiber Optic testing is being updated as well. This report is being edited and will be posted on the CommScope Standard Advisor page.
New PFCS Training Course Available The Powered Fiber Cable System training courses have been uploaded into the CommScope Infrastructure Academy. The latest addition is SP4930 PFCS Installation. This course is designed for installers of the Powered Fiber Cable System. It details the processes required to install the system correctly, how to set up the active equipment and how to maintain it. Also available are two additional lessons detailing troubleshooting of the electronics featuring hints, recommendations and tips.
