The upcoming release of the ISO/IEC 14763-3 standard for testing fiber optic cabling is scheduled for publication in 2024. This comprehensive publication is specifically crafted as a tool for fiber test engineers.

Insights will showcase inspection, cleaning, and testing processes distinctions between LSPM (light source power meter) and OTDR (optical time domain reflectometer) testing methodologies, emphasizing the critical factor of testing accuracy.

Therefore, we will provide a theoretical foundation on calculating the overall permanent link and determining achievable channel limits. Propel Mesh Modules are now available! Mesh Modules replicate the mesh architecture without added cable congestion. The modules take 4 MPO8 ports from 4 different switches on the rear and assigns a pair from each to each of the 4 MPO8 ports on the front. It replicates a series of array cables (internally) and uses 4 standard MPO8 ULL patch cords on the front to 4 separate switches.
